Company Info and Bios

Our duck hunting season for southeast Missouri opens around the third week of November and will last through the third week of January - 60 full days of action! The goose hunting season for our area starts at the beginning of November and continues until the end of January. At that time the spring season opens and there is no limit on snow geese as well as unplugged shotguns. You can shoot from the time you can see them until you can't and electronic callers are allowed as well.

You will be lead by one of our experienced guides who will take you and your hunting party to and from the field either by four-wheeler, a 6 man argo, or by boat for some great timber hunting.

Our duck and goose hunting hours will take place at the time shooting hours start until 1:00 p.m. (unless the usual limit comes early). After the hunt, you will be transported back to the lodge where you will have a lunch cooked for you. While relaxing the rest of the day, our scouting crew will be on the lookout for the next day's hunt.

We here at Dirty Rice Outfitters have top notch lodging with suitable rates, great and experienced guides, and productive hunts with southern hospitality. We are sure you will have a great time!

In the off-season, we spend most of our time making duck pits. Our duck pits are built from 12ga. and 14ga. steel designed to your meet your needs. Each duck pit is fully welded for strength and longevity. Our pit lengths and sizes range from a 3-man 8' to a 10-man 24' with two dog boxes. We can custom build to fit your needs! If you have any questions, please feel free to call and our staff will try to help you the best they can.

“In duck hunting, there are duck callers and duck killers – we're both.”
